Lexi the Experimental Engine is a cab-forward engine who is always experimenting with her voice. She lives with her friends Merlin and Theo and while she seems rather upbeat, deep down she's very insecure.

Trivia[]
- The prototype Lexi the Experimental Engine features a gold cowcatcher, larger patches of rust, smaller pupils, darker gold lining, a hand painted nameplate, and a taller detailed funnel positioned closer to end of the smokebox.
- She is one of the few characters that has a unique wheel basis being a 4-2-2. This is due to her re-using Whiff's Adventures chassis but reversed.
