Rock Quarry Run is a Take-n-Play Toys R Us exclusive set. It includes Thomas, a Sodor Rock Quarry car, rock cargo, and a fold-out playset with a spiral mine shaft with two exits, a steep incline, and a cargo lift.
The lift can be used to raise the cargo and load it into Thomas' cargo car at the top of the quarry. Lifting the boom gates can send Thomas down the incline or the spiral mine shaft. A gate in the mine shaft can be switched for Thomas to exit either at the back of the mine or through the mine doors. The boom gates can be adjusted to accommodate small and big engines. Additional sets and track can be connected to two points. The set can be folded up for storage.
Trivia
- Big chunky engines like Belle and Flynn do not perform well on this set, especially in the mine shaft spiral.
- This set was later repainted into Blue Mountain Quarry Deluxe Set.
